Worldbuilders of Queen Street
CaféA 1760s Georgian townhouse celebrating indie worlds & the creators behind them. Explore, read & study amongst sci-fi & fantasy worlds every Fri & Sat✨
There is a 1760’s Georgian townhouse who last year put up a large bronze plaque by its front door and caused quite a stir in the city of Bath with its mystery.
The plaque said nothing more than, The Worldbuilders of Queen Street.
People would quietly enter the building before the sun arose and were seen to leave late in the evenings at unpredictable times. Over the months, more activity was witnessed with all manner or curious objects being transported into the building; from ancient looking swords to oil paintings in broken frames. Peering into the window, one could make out a sign being prepared that said ‘Celebrating New Worlds & The Creators Behind Them’.
In the basement, there is a candle lit dungeon with games masters bellowing commands to D&D parties. If one clambers up to the top floor then they will find a dedicated writers room that is a contender for the most tranquil space to sit and study in Bath. Across all five floors, there are desks and armchairs where the public are invited to read, study and enjoy house coffee amongst the galleries of new Sci-Fi & Fantasy worlds in design. This is an enchanting destination that is a story in its own right.
