It’s the summer of 1986, you just graduated high school and you have one more week of summer before it’s time to head off to the real world.

Last Week Of Summer combines turn programming and worker placement with a variety of mini games. Each game using 4 of the 6  possible locations: Pick up a movie at the Video Store, get high scores at the Arcade, grab some Fast Food, hang at the Q-Mart, get the coolest (but not too cool) albums at the Music Store, or learn tricks at the Skatepark. Each of these locations links 80's theme to a classic mechanism - set collection, tile placement, market manipulation, mancala, push your luck, dice rolling, and more. Players make friends with the coolest kids in town, get invited to the best parties, and complete location specific goals, all while making memories and competing to have the best summer ever.

(This is a demo of an early prototype)

A 2 player card game in which players use characters from Shakespeare’s plays to race to one of three possible win conditions: Comedy, Tragedy, or History. Each turn the lead player with draft one row of three cards keeping two and passing one, then their opponents has the chance to play first. Tragedy cards all have triggers that will cause them to die; if you kill four of your tragic characters first you win. History cards are played to one of the five countries to try to take political control; if you control 4 countries at once you win. Comedy cards come in two types: some will help or hinder the efforts of the players, while others are lovers looking to be couples up; if you pair 4 couples you win.

The game is designed with theme first, so expect: Iago dies if there are too many relationships successfully beware the green-eyed monster, Puck makes fools of the mortals by coupling up random pairs, and Caesar gets backstabbed if he grows too powerful. However, you don’t need to know the plays to enjoy the game.
